Weed Walk Diary – November 2007

November 7 – We checked a couple of places in Tioga Co. and were rewarded with a Ruddy Duck at Mirror Lake, a Red-shouldered Hawk at the Campville Bridge and E.Bluebirds on Kinney Rd. Back in Broome we picked up Wood Ducks, many Mallards, Cooper’s Hawk and Carolina Wren along with other common species.

Novemer 14 – Cincinnatus Lake in Chenango Co. gave us Green-Winged Teals, Hooded Mergansers and W.Turkeys. Two Am.Kestrels on the way to Edwards Hill Rd. in Broome started a good hawk day, closing with 3 N.Harriers, 7 Rough-Legged and 12 Red-tailed Hawks.

These were our last official Weed Walks for the year till next March.
